Dr. Mego Terzian has spent the better part of his life and career assisting and providing medical treatment to people around the world. He was elected President of MSF (Medecin Sans Frontieres) France in 2013. Dr. Terzian has worked as a field doctor and emergency coordinator for MSF in Sierra Leone, Afghanistan and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Cote d'Ivoire, Niger, Pakistan, etc. When he was studying at medical school at Yerevan State University, Dr. Terzian worked for MSF as a translator in Karabakh and as an MSF physician in Yerevan. He spoke to CivilNet about his life's work and about the crisis in Syria, which he says is the first time he has witnessed an intense targeting of medical structures and personnel in a conflict zone.
